Simbad 55
A 17-metre bluewater catamaran by Pierre Delion and Franck Darnet — long-range capability and understated luxury, offered in three distinct specifications.
Built for the long way round
The Simbad 55 is the first bluewater catamaran from the young Alicante yard Simbad Yachts, with naval architecture by Pierre Delion and design by Franck Darnet. It is conceived for owners who want to actually go — extended, self-sufficient cruising with the comfort of a far larger yacht.
The Darnet signature is everywhere: sweeping coachroof arches that hide the vertical glass beneath them, a deep and well-protected forward cockpit, and an XXL flybridge that becomes the social heart of the boat. Below, a 360° saloon is finished in bleached oak and walnut, with large windows flooding the space with light.
Twin Yanmar diesels on saildrives, a Doyle sail wardrobe and electric sail-handling make it as easy to handle short-handed as it is capable offshore — 1,200 litres of fuel and 1,000 litres of water underpin genuine range.

Flybridge
Choose the XXL flybridge with or without its dedicated bar unit — an open sun-and-social deck, or a full outdoor galley and lounge aloft.
Galley up or down
Take the galley into the light of the main saloon, or move it down into the hull to free the saloon as a pure living and dining space.
Cabin layouts

The first Simbad 55 is afloat
Legend 1 is hull number one, built to the flagship Legend specification — full carbon rig, 3,150 W of solar, jet tender on a hydraulic lift. Six months afloat and registered, and offered as a central listing represented by Odyssea.
She will be at the Cannes Yachting Festival, 8–13 September. We are there for the week by appointment rather than on a stand, so a viewing is an unhurried hour aboard rather than five minutes in a crowd.
From first drawing to life aboard
Odyssea represents the Simbad 55 for owners in the Caribbean, French Polynesia and beyond. We are not simply an introduction — we are your partner through the whole journey.
We guide the specification and options, supervise the build and delivery, and carry the yacht into service: crew, management, financial oversight, berthing and, if you wish, charter. One team, thirty years of ownership experience, from the first drawing to life aboard.
