The Simbad 55 is the first bluewater catamaran from the young Alicante yard Simbad Yachts, drawn by naval architect Pierre Delion of Darnet Design. It is conceived for owners who want to actually go — extended, self-sufficient cruising with the comfort of a far larger yacht.
Delion's signature is everywhere: sweeping coachroof arches that hide the vertical glass beneath them, a deep and well-protected forward cockpit, and an XXL flybridge that becomes the social heart of the boat. Below, a 360° saloon is finished in bleached oak and walnut, with large windows flooding the space with light.
Twin Yanmar diesels on saildrives, a Doyle sail wardrobe and electric sail-handling make it as easy to handle short-handed as it is capable offshore — 1,200 litres of fuel and 1,000 litres of water underpin genuine range.
